Devan Simunovich (aka Dev Harlan) is a visual artist and motion designer currently residing in New York. He is co-founder of boutique design studio CTRL, whose diverse outpouring has included CG short films, music videos, custom software, and real time video installations.
High profile brand work using innovative techniques and distinctive aesthetics has garnered articles in such recognized media outlets as Stash DVD Magazine, Res Magazine, Page Magazine, WIRED, IDN, Fefe Magazine and Apple.com. In 2008, he was also the recipient of the prestigious ADC Young Gun Awards. His short films have screened internationally at such reputed festivals as One Dot Zero, Sonar, Mapping Fest, Optronica, and Scope NY.
Having been at the forefront of live visual media for many years, Devan has performed internationally at media art festivals, concerts and clubs, and has worked with notable musicians such as Hank Shockley, Thievery Corporation, Roger Taylor (of Duran Duran), Tiesto, and Beyoncé Knowles to name a few.
