Sea of Me is an exploration of the relationship between data, memory and aesthetics.
Using digital projectors, a sea of seamless augmented reality tags is projected on walls. The projection creates a floating field of identical black droplets that are the visual representation of binary, each tag indistinguishable from the next. Every tag contains a pre-recorded video of an individual recalling an early memory.
Visitors are provided with a frame to place anywhere on the wall. Droplets inside the frame become a “tag".
Using a smart phone or tablet, visitors scan the tag they have created and access any one of a hundred memories embedded in the wall.
