Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival 2026

2026

Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival returned to Sunshine Grove, FL — March 19–22, 2026 — under the theme "The Reunion": a celebration of coming back together, merging nostalgic memory with groundbreaking new experience.

META designed and built two flagship immersive environments at the heart of Chobeewobee Village — the T Lounge and The Liebrary — led by Experience Director Justin Bolognino and Creative Producer Rüts.

The Liebrary

The Liebrary is a "literary hallucination" — a playground of paradox where reality is checked at the door and guests not only check out books, they check in new identities. Participants received a Liebrary Card assigning them a surreal role ("Retired Space Pirate," "Professional Cloud Critic"), then earned stamps completing Festival-Wide Quests: telling a stranger a made-up story about meeting in a dream, or confessing a fictional phobia to a complete passerby.

The space was inhabited by the Liebrarian, guardian of feminine wisdom, and the His-storian, a bombastic narrator of fabricated historical fact. Inside: a Bamboo Tea House for ceremonial pouring, a Reading Room of cozy furniture and stolen hours, and a Hall of Shelves stocked with fictions, banned books, and psychedelic literature. At the entrance, Soultar — a satirical reimagining of the Zoltar fortune-teller — placed a live performer inside the cabinet, channeling a New Age disinformation Guru.

The T Lounge

The T Lounge is an immersive sanctuary inspired by the lush sophistication of a hi-fi listening room — where everything from Tonality to Tarot begins with the letter "T." Its centrepiece, TELAVAVISION, fused nostalgic CRT technology with real-time graphics into a towering, pulsing lava lamp visible from across the festival grounds. THRESHOLD — a multi-player instrument space — lit vintage reel-to-reel machines and analog gear in real-time as guests played.

Six Tranquility Zones offered themed seating lounges spread across hand-laid rugs and candlelight: Typewriter poetry, Tarot readings, Talisman crafting, Terrariums, and more. At the musical heart, the TJ Booth deployed four-point audio to create a decentralized sonic field — dissolving the fourth wall between performer and participant so that the room itself became the stage.
